Everything you need to know about Hooply — from signing in to running your first analysis.

Getting Started

Sign in with Yahoo or ESPN

Tap Login with Yahoo or Login with ESPN on the home screen. You'll be redirected to Yahoo or ESPN to authorize Hooply — this is a secure OAuth connection and Hooply never sees your password.

Your leagues load automatically

Once signed in, all your active fantasy basketball leagues appear. Tap any league to select it as your active league — all analyses will run against that league's real data.

Switching leagues

Tap the league name in the top bar of any screen to open the league picker. Select a different league and all data refreshes automatically.

Running an analysis

  1. Go to the Analysis tab.
  2. Pick a tool from the grid.
  3. Some tools prompt for extra input (e.g. which trade to evaluate, which opponent to scout).
  4. Tap Run Analysis — results stream in within a few seconds.

Every result is saved automatically. Revisit past analyses any time from the History section on the Home tab.

H2H only — Matchup Preview, Sit/Start, H2H Games Analyzer, and H2H Win Odds are only available for Head-to-Head leagues.

League Explorer

The League tab is your full league command center. Switch between five views using the tab bar at the top:

Standings

Live standings for your league — win-loss record, total points, and current rank for every team.

Matchup

Your current head-to-head matchup with live scores broken down by stat category. Available in H2H leagues only.

Rosters

Browse every team's full roster. Great for scouting trade targets or seeing what players your opponents are holding.

Transactions

The latest adds, drops, trades, and waiver claims across your league. See what your opponents are chasing.

Draft

Full replay of your league's draft — every pick, in order. Useful for understanding how each team was built.

Daily Insights

The Home tab shows three automatically refreshed insight cards at the top of the screen:

Injury Opportunities

Players across the league who are currently injured or day-to-day, plus waiver wire pickups to cover the stat impact.

Most Added

The players being picked up most frequently across your league right now — a quick pulse on what your opponents are targeting on the wire.

Most Dropped

Players being dropped most often. Useful for spotting emerging bust trends or identifying suddenly available talent your opponents are giving up on.

Tap any insight card to expand it. These refresh automatically — no need to manually trigger them.

Yes — Hooply is completely free during the beta period. No credit card required.
Yes. You can sign in with both Yahoo and ESPN accounts. All 15 analysis tools work across both platforms.
Yes. Most tools work for both H2H and Roto leagues. The four H2H-only tools (Matchup Preview, Sit/Start, H2H Games Analyzer, and H2H Win Odds) are hidden automatically for Roto leagues.
Yes. All your leagues appear in the league picker. Switch between them any time — each analysis pulls the real data for whichever league is selected.
Select any team in your league. Hooply grades every player on that team and compares their stat production against your roster's averages. The AI then identifies categories where you have a realistic path to winning and recommends the specific pickups and trade targets to lock in those advantages.
Tap Trade Evaluator, then select the players you'd give and the players you'd receive. Hooply runs a 9-category impact analysis using real stats and returns a letter grade plus a clear accept or reject recommendation with reasoning.
Yes. Every analysis you run is saved to your account. Tap History on the Home tab to browse and re-read past results.
Make sure you have a league selected (tap the league name at the top of the screen). If the error persists, try pulling down to refresh or signing out and back in. If it keeps happening, the issue is likely a temporary API outage — try again in a few minutes.
Tap the share icon (↑) on any recommendation or trade card. On mobile this opens your native share sheet. On web it copies the analysis text to your clipboard so you can paste it anywhere.
You can delete your account and all associated data from the Profile tab in the app, or by visiting hooply.app/delete-account.html.
